The School Day
Timings of the day
The school day starts at 8.45am with morning activities out ready for the children.
Gates open at 8.40am - this is to allow everyone to come onto the school site and be in the class for the start of the day. Registers close at 8.55am
Lunchtime is at 12noon - 1pm for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Reception lunchtime is 11.45am- 12.45am
The school day finishes at 3.15pm. The gates open at 3.05pm to allow parents/carers to come onto site and wait by the classroom doors.
Children must be collected by an adult or have written permission to walk home alone.
A typical week in school amounts to 32.5hours, excluding Breakfast Club and Extra-curricular Clubs.
School Attendance
Children must attend school by law.
We recognise children can get poorly. However, please aim for your child to be in school as often as they can - with a school target of 97% attendance. This equates to 5 days of absence across the year. Any absences result in missed learning.
Holidays taken during term times will not be authorised and they will be marked on the school register as unauthorised absences.
